- How do we determine what our Corporate Goal should be?
There are a number of factors that can help you determine your fundraising goal; number of employees; number of vendors/partners/suppliers; and company revenue.
As a general guideline, with the above factors included, we suggest between $1,000 - $10,000. Setting a generous, yet attainable goal both motivates and encourages those involved to rise to challenge!
- We raised funds outside of on-line donations. How do we update our thermometer to reflect our fundraising total?
To add cash and cheque totals to your thermometer, choose the “Manage Cash and Cheques” link on the left menu when logged into your Corporate Hero fundraising web site. Fill out the seperate cash and cheque totals information in the fields provided. Your thermometer will update to reflect the offline donations added. You can also delete or edit these entries after you have added them.
- How do we obtain tax receipts for our donations?
Any donation made on-line will be automatically receipted via e-mail. If submitted via mail, we can receipt for any gift of $20 or more. In order to process a receipt, we need full name, mailing address and amount donated for each donor. Please note that we can only receipt for donations. As per CRA regulations, we are unable to issue tax receipts for the purchase of raffle tickets or auction items.
- How do I submit funds collected outside of on-line donations to SickKids Foundation?
When your Corporate Hero Challenge is complete, please remit any funds not submitted online, within 60 days to SickKids Foundation, 525 University Avenue, 14th Floor, Toronto, Ontario, M5G 2L3. If possible, ask your company to write a cheque for the total amount collected off-line for ease of processing. All cheques must be made payable to: SickKids Foundation.
- Who can I speak to if I have questions?
- Can SickKids Foundation provide prizes for our raffle and auction?
Unfortunately when prize-like items are donated to SickKids Foundation, they are most often given directly to the Hospital. Please consider asking your colleagues and suppliers for prizes. Also consider items such as extra vacation days or parking spots.
- What Will the Money Support?
All funds generated through the Corporate Hero Challenge will support world-class research and patient care and research at The Hospital for Sick Children.
